Hello Everyone,

I am new here to Hubpages, but I am always looking for ways to connect and share with people. I am part webbie, tekkie, old school, new school, true school, city girl and country girl all in rolled into. Born in the late 60's, came of early age in the 70's, came of age again in the 80's, evolved some in the 90's and am now walking upright in this first decade of a new millennium.

I have opened up this Hub because over the journey that is my life I have studied and practiced; studied and practiced and studied and practiced. As a result I am jane-of-all-trades and master of SOME...things.

I hold a B.S. in Mathematics, but studied engineering, marketing, english and extra curricularing while in college. I began a Master's in an Interdisciplinary program in Liberal Arts. I was however in the "evolved some in the 90's" stage of my journey and additionally clueless, low on self esteem and did I mention "terrified" of not amounting to anything. I did not complete the Masters and could not make heads or tales of Plato's Republic as we studied it.

A light however went on some years later which began to amalgamate all of the study (from Plato's Republic to Malcolm X to Chancellor William to Charles Deming to Bell Hooks to Pearl Cleage to Cornel West to Michael Eric Dyson to Frances Cress Wesling to Susan Taylor to Toni Morrison to Spike Lee to Penny Marshall to Erma Bombeck to Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye the Jackson 5 to the Sugar Hill Gang to Annie Liebowitz to Patrice Lumumba to Erykah Badu to Nikki Giovanni to Countee Cullen to Helen Steiner Rice to the Fugees to Oprah Winfrey to Van Jones to P Diddy to Maxwell to Aretha Franklin to the Clark Sisters to Martin Luther King to Helen DIanne Kiel to so many more all the way to President Barack Obama)

with all of the practice ...let's just say I have worked every were from Magazines, to a Record Label, taught in High Schools, taught in Charter Schools, taught in Adult Schools, (in most schools I've taught math, reading some english and most recently social studies); a dry cleaners, Banana Republic, Taco Bell, Conference Coordinating, Publicity, as a Poet, Filmmaker/Filmmaking, Marketing Executive, Volunteer (any and everything), student leader, activist, seamstress, Club Promoter/Event Planner, Fundraising Researcher (for a University), Summer Intern, Producer, Director, Editor, Production Assistant, Lover, Music Critic, radio host, girlfriend and friend...and Plato's Republic makes plenty of sense now.

I currently work the hardest job on the planet...I am a Parent (a single parent at that).

I am often leveled the blessed compliment of "you're so smart", "you know so much" and asked the questions ..."how do you know that?" or worse "why do you know that ?"  My question is what do I do with all of "that" ? (Hubpages appears to be one of several answers)

"That" I believe is some parts intellect, some parts critical thinking, some parts scientific method thinking, some parts problem solver and many parts "information junkie", but all of it when stirred together makes for a dreamer and practical visionary who with a focus on excellence can become anything (you'd like to be). What do I want for anyone who reads my hub ? To not only fulfill, but OPTIMIZE your potential as a human being on the planet Earth.

I am the mediator between CRITICAL THINKING and CREATIVITY who arbitrates INTELLECT and dispenses it through various channels of EXPRESSION that range from the spoken, written, typed or even sung ....word.

As such a mediator who has been naturally curious, observant and verbal since childhood I want to share with people of ALL ages how to find your voice and more articulately dispense the gifts in your heart and mind with a world hungry and waiting for them.
